CREWE'S Asda store was evacuated after a small fire.

Two fire engines were called out to the Victoria Centre supermarket yesterday evening (5.43pm).

Firefighters put out a small fire which had broken out in a light fitting and isolated the electrics before an engineer arrived on site.

A Cheshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said: "The store was evacuated and crews isolated the electrics."
