A Crewe woman who 'brought anguish to the NHS' has been handed a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order - after making nuisance 999 calls and causing a disturbance.

Elaine Erskine, of Firbeck Gardens, was issued with a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 13 March (Ryan Parker).

She was issued with the order for five years with conditions.

This prohibits her from being in possession of or consuming any open container of alcohol in a public place, from acting in any anti-social manner, contacting the emergency services except in a genuine emergency and attending any NHS premises except in a genuine emergency or for a pre-booked appointment.

By failing to follow the order, Erskine will be committing a criminal offence which could result in recall to prison or a fine.

Sergeant of Crewe LPU, Steve Tandy said: "Erskine is an offender who has repeatedly brought anguish to the NHS and the public.

"The courts have made the right decision to grant this order against her.

"She will be under the CBO until 13 March 2028 and if she fails to comply with any of the conditions she could face up to 5 years in prison.

"This Criminal Behaviour Order is just one of the things that we are using to keep the public safe and protected.
