Crewe woman charged with drink driving after CUPRA stopped near town centre

A Crewe woman has been charged with drink driving and will appear in court next month, after being pulled over close to the town centre.
On Saturday 13 April, Cheshire Police received reports of a drink driver in a grey CUPRA Ateca.
At around 11:55pm, officers sighted the vehicle on Oak Street, forcing it to stop.
A 31-year-old woman from Crewe blew 49 at the roadside, 14 over the legal limit.
In police custody, she provided an evidential breath reading of 54 and was charged with driving whilst exceeding the prescribed limit.
The Crewe woman has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 13 May.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "On Saturday, 13 April, at roughly 11.55pm, we received information about a drink driver in a grey CUPRA Ateca.
"Crewe Response Team sighted the vehicle on Oak Street and stopped the Ateca.
"A roadside breath test was performed on the driver, who provided a reading of 49ug (the legal limit is 35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath). She was subsequently arrested.
"A 31-year-old womab from Crewe has been charged with driving whilst exceeding the prescribed limit.
"She provided an evidential breath reading of 54g whilst in custody and has been bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 13 May.
