Crewe woman arrested after making threats to 'set fire' to man's bed in domestic incident
A Crewe woman has been arrested on suspicion of controlling and coercive behaviour, following a domestic incident in the town.
On Monday 1 January, Cheshire Police received reports of an incident on Gresty Road.
Officers were quickly deployed to the scene, discovering a man was being denied access to a property.
A female threatened to set fire to the man's bed, along with his other items.
She had allegedly prevented the man from seeing family and friends, removing a WiFi box stopping his contact.
The woman, 21, has been arrested on suspicion of threats to commit criminal damage and controlling and coercive behaviour.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "A female has been arrested after reports of controlling and coercive behaviour and threats.
An investigation is ongoing into the incident.
"We received reports on Monday 1 January of an incident where a male was being denied access to a property.
"The female had also made threats to set fire to a males bed and his other items.
"She had also over a period of time prevented him from seeing family and friends and removed a WiFi box stopping his contact.
"The female, 21 has been arrested on suspicion of threats to commit criminal damage and controlling and coercive behaviour. The investigation in ongoing."
