Crewe town centre pub to play 'big part' in Pride celebrations with 11-hour event
A Crewe town centre pub is set to play a "big part" in 2023 Pride celebrations - with an 11-hour event taking place this weekend.
Albert's Corner, Prince Albert Street, is hosting Pride 2023 Crewe on Saturday 8 July.
The event, running from 3pm until 2am, will include six live acts, a food van and special guests.
"I like to be involved in what's going on in Crewe and Albert's Corner will play a big part in Pride this weekend," said manager, Tony Higson.
The Crewe pub's free entry event kicks off with a Kyle Minogue tribute artist in the afternoon.
This will be followed up by a Lady Gaga tribute act at 4:30pm and a club classics performance at 5pm.
Heading into the evening, there will be performances from Kyle Finn and Paul Taylor at 7pm.
From 9pm, DJ Ross will be taking over the stage - with special guests also expected to feature at some point.
Mr Higson, excited by the event, told Nub News: "We will have a huge variety of super acts and there will be a food van outside selling burgers and hot dogs.
"You can have your drink in a glass if you're drinking inside the venue.
"Plastic cups will be available for those wanting to walk to the event in Lyceum Square.
"There will also be two very special guests potentially joining us.
"The event kicks off at 3:00pm in the afternoon and runs all the way until 2am."
Plastic cups will be available inside throughout the event.
This allows customers to take their drinks into Lyceum Square for Crewe Pride 2023 - running from 1:30pm until 10:30pm.
