Crewe teen accused of murdering Keagan Crimes could face November trial

A CREWE teenager accused of murdering a man from Winsford has been remanded in custody to appear at Chester Crown Court.

The 17-year-old, who is not being named for legal reasons, appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court yesterday (Tuesday) charged with the murder of Keagan Crimes. He is also charged with wounding with intent, unlawful wounding and possession of an offensive weapon.

The teenager was remanded to appear at Chester on July 23, while a provisional trial date has been set for November 29 which could last up to three weeks.

Mr Crimes, 27, died on Monday, October 12 last year after sustaining serious injuries during an incident at Cheviot Square in Winsford. Two other men were also injured.

Two youths, aged 15 and 16, from Winsford, both pleaded guilty to affray in connection with the incident at Chester Youth Court today (Wednesday). They are due to be sentenced on July 21.
