A Crewe supermarket petrol station is set to have its opening hours extended to 12am seven days per week, following a new forecourt takeover deal.

On Wednesday 27 March, Motor Fuel Limited submitted a premises license application for 'Dunwoody Way Service Station,' currently known as Morrisons Petrol Station.

As part of the transaction, Morrisons has taken a minority stake of around 20 per cent in MFG, entering its commercial and supply agreements.

Currently, as Morrisons Petrol Station, the site is open from 6am until 10:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 8am to 8pm (Sunday).

Motor Fuel Limited now seeks to extend the Crewe service station's daily opening hours to 12am, submitting a licence to provide the supply of alcohol and late night refreshment.

Its premises license application reads: "Notice is hereby given that we, Motor Fuel Limited have applied on 27th March 2024 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as Dunwoody Way Service Station, Dunwoody Way.

"This is for a premises licence to provide the supply of Alcohol, Monday to Sunday, 6am to 12am.

Currently, as Morrisons Petrol Station, the site is open from 6am until 10:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 8am to 8pm (Sunday) (Ryan Parker).

"This is also to provide late night refreshment, Monday to Sunday, 11pm to 12am."

Representations to Motor Fuel Limited's application shall be made in writing to Cheshire East Council Licensing Section on or before Wednesday 24 April.
