Crewe station set for fashion show as luxury train heads to Royal Ascot
By Ryan Parker 4th Jun 2026
Crewe Railway Station will resemble a fashion show this June when the Northern Belle takes passengers to Royal Ascot's Ladies Day.
Top hats, tails, fascinators and designer dresses will replace the usual platform crowds as guests board the luxury train on Thursday 18 June.
The Northern Belle will depart Crewe at 7.40am, with the train due back in Crewe shortly before midnight.
Passengers will enjoy a champagne brunch on the journey south before spending the afternoon in Ascot's exclusive Queen Anne Enclosure.
After racing, guests will return to a champagne and caviar reception, followed by a six-course dinner on the trip home.
Despite tickets costing up to £1,000, only a limited number remain available.
A Northern Belle spokesperson said: "The Ascot excursion is one of the train's most popular trips, with passengers making the effort to dress for the occasion."
Other Northern Belle departures from Crewe this summer include trips along the Settle-Carlisle line and a day excursion to Bath. Fares start from £465.
