A MAN who suffered stab wounds in an incident at a Crewe property is in a "stable" condition in hospital.

Police officers were called to an address on Pedley Street around midday last Thursday after reports that a man had been attacked.

The 44-year-old was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital where his condition was initially described as "critical".

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "The victim remains in hospital at this time - he is in a stable condition.

"A 47-year-old woman who was arrested following the incident has been released on police bail until November 4."

Police are appealing for information and anyone with dashcam footage is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting IML 822881, or give the details here.
