Crewe Saturday Football: Critchley's five-goal haul as leaders Curshaws hit 12

SANDBACH Curshaws continued their rich vein of form in front of goal with a 12-1 hammering of Crewe Town Reserves.

Despite a gallant first-half effort the home side found themselves 4-0 down at the break and Curshaws stepped up the gear in the second half to hit double figures.

Their goalscoring prowess has left with a plus 31 goal difference after winning all their four opening games.

Sam Critchley was lethal collecting a five-goal haul and there was a hat-trick for Darren

Bailey and singles for Cameron Mitchell, Ryan Simmons, Daryl Wood and Axel Lockett.

Mary Dendy also found their shooting boots with an excellent 8-2 win at Sandbach Town helped by a hatr-trick from Bjorn Hughes. Liam Blackhurst struck a brace and there were singles for Lewis Chisholm, Michael Gilligan and Mathew Macqueen.

The Sandbach Town scorers were Brenden Howman and Kev Hancock.

Elworth Park Rangers surprised previously-unbeaten Crewe Town Jaguars with Joseph Brookfield and Aaron Clarke the goalscorers in a 2-1 win.
