TWO Crewe pubs have launched a crowdfunding appeal to support the family of a mother-of-three who has died suddenly.

Amy Mathers passed away on Saturday (November 27). Now her friends and pub goers at The Imperial on Edleston Road and The Hop Pole on Wistaston Road have rallied around to meet the costs of the 30-year-old's funeral.

Their fundraiser on JustGiving has already reached £1,700 of its initial £2,500 target.

Organiser Lauri Pass says cash left over from the funeral costs will go into a fund for Amy's children, Harper, Harry and Jack.

Posting on the Hop Pole's Facebook page, she said: "Your heart and soul was one in a million, you were an amazing person, a fantastic mum to your three beautiful children and your animals all of which were your entire world and it's hard to now know none of them will ever see your beautiful face, your smile or hear you laugh again."

Regulars at the Imperial held an impromptu evening of songs and stories on Sunday to remember their friend.

Cheshire Police said they attended at a property in Ash Road in Crewe on Saturday afternoon after receiving reports of the sudden death of a woman.

"Officers attended the scene and a 30-year-old woman was found deceased. A case file will be prepared for the coroner," said a police spokesperson.

A fundraising event is being planned at the Imperial.
