Crewe pub to reopen with proposed new residential development above
A Crewe pub is set to reopen in the near future under the management of a Mill Street venue, with plans submitted for a new first floor residential development.
The Cheshire Inn, Nantwich Road, has been closed since Saturday 23 March, after the venue was sold to owner of Ye Olde Angel, Nino Singh.
On Tuesday 25 June, Mr Singh submitted prior approval for a change of use on the first floor of the building to an apartment.
Former office space, which has been disused for sometime, will be converted into a dwelling with three bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge diner and bathroom.
The layout to enter the proposed flat is expected to stay the same.
Mr Singh confirmed to Nub News The Cheshire Inn would reopen "soon" under the management of Retro Bar Crewe.
Retro Bar will close its current venue, relocating into The Cheshire Inn.
The last date for submitting comments on the change of use application is Wednesday 24 July, with a target decision date of Tuesday 20 August.
Crewe Nub News has contacted Retro Bar for comment on the pub development.
