A popular Crewe pub chain has applied for a licence variation, as part of plans to refurbish its indoor and outdoor drinking areas.

The Four Eagles, a Hungry Horse pub on Dunwoody Way, has submitted an application to Cheshire East Council outlining several proposed changes to its layout.

It opened in April 2015 on former railway land and is operated by Greene King.

The Four Eagles is currently open 11am to 11pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9am to 11pm (Friday to Sunday).

The licensing application from Greene King Brewing and Retailing Limited says: "To vary the licensing layout plan for refurbishment works to improve internal and external drinking areas, including minor alterations to the bar servery counter and backfitting, remove some areas of booth seating and the ice cream station in the lounge bar."

The application also says any changes to the premises' layout covered by the variation will not take effect until the work has been completed.

Members of the public have until Tuesday 3 November to submit written representations to Cheshire East Council.

You can also submit your representation by emailing: [email protected].
