Crewe & Nantwich MP Dr Kieran Mullan urged residents to take advantage of two upcoming walk-in appointment vaccination days at a local vaccination centre after visiting the site for a tour and to thank staff.

Mr Mullan visited the team at the vaccination centre at the Masonic Hall in Willaston. This second site is run by the same Hollowood Chemists team that run the Honda site in Crewe which has vaccinated thousands of local residents.

Mr Mullan met with father and son Hollowood Chemist team Raj and Jainil Patel, Roger Morris from the Crewe Honda Centre and lodge director David Blackhurst.

Jainil gave him a tour of the site alongside centre co-ordinator Claire Blakeman. Roger is also a director of the Lodge and was able to approach his fellow directors about use of the site based on his experience at the Honda site.

Speaking after the visit Mr Mullan thanked the team and urged residents to "grab a jab" at the site on two walk-in days this week.

Mr Mullan said: "Raj and Roger have been real community heroes in stepping up to launch the Crewe site and as the GP sites shut, we really needed help again and I am really grateful they stepped up to the plate once more.

"Thanks to Roger from Honda and David from the lodge for letting both of the vaccination centre facilities be used free of charge, that is incredibly generous.

"It was great to speak to the team there and thank them for their efforts which have no doubt saved countless lives over the past few months.

"If you haven't gotten around to it, now is the time to grab a jab with two walk-in days being put on this week by Jainil and Claire. Maybe you know someone who hasn't gotten around to it, tell them this is the perfect chance to get vaccinated."

Raj Patel MBE, CEO of Hollowood Chemists said: "It was a pleasure to meet Dr Mullan, we were delighted that he took time out to see the vaccination centre we have opened for the local community."

Roger Morris said: "It has been a long journey since we started the vaccination centre in Crewe at the beginning of the year and when Raj had the call to open another site it was very fortunate that myself and my fellow directors of the Masonic Hall could donate this fantastic venue, giving people an easily accessible centre to receive this very important Covid vaccination.

"All in all, it was a great experience and we hope we made Kieran proud of our success in helping vaccinate the local population of Crewe and Nantwich."

The walk-in vaccination clinic will run at the Masonic Hall, Wybunbury Rd, Willaston, Nantwich CW5 7ER this week on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th August between 9am and 7:30pm.

They will be providing 1st and 2nd doses of the Pfizer Vaccine to those above age 17 years and 9 months. No appointment is necessary.
