A CREWE microbrewery is planning a series of online events to boost the morale of their customers during lockdown.

Tom's Tap and Brewhouse Ltd has reverted to a delivery only service (Thursday to Saturday) after the government's Monday announcement.

But the brewery and bar, based in Thomas Street, has already pencilled in a virtual Beer and Cheese Matching evening on January 23 to replace its regular face-to-face cheese nights.

It has teamed up with The Cheese Shop to host the show in which Tom's Tap and Brewhouse will match up five of their beers with five artisan cheeses supplied by the Nantwich-based business.

The brewery said: "There will be an online zoom where we can discuss the beers, the cheeses and the matches."

The brewery hope to run more zoom-type bar evenings as well as some tutored beer tasting online.

Local deliveries are being dropped off on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Tickets for the Beer and Cheese evening are limited to 30 and can be ordered (at £40 plus VAT) here.
