Crewe man faces five charges after Blakelow death crash

A Crewe man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving after a fatal crash on Haymoor Green Road in Blakelow.

Mark Taylor, 38, of Railway Street, Crewe, has also been charged with assault, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, causing death while driving without a license and causing death while driving without insurance.

The crash, which involved a Honda Accord, Land Rover Discovery and Nissan Pixo, happened at 8:40pm last Thursday (February 24)

A 59-year-old man from Oakmere died of his injuries in hospital. He had been driving the Nissan Pixo.

Another man and woman from the same vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries after being cut free from the wreckage by firefighters.

A man and woman who were travelling in the Land Rover Discovery, suffered minor injuries.

Taylor was arrested following the incident. He appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court last Saturday (February 26) and has been remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday March 25.
