Crewe man charged with 'attempted burglary' following incident in town

A Crewe man has been charged with attempted burglary, following a late night incident at a house in the town.

On Tuesday 16 January, Cheshire Police received reports of burglary on Furnival Street.

At around 12:53am, officers arrived at the address, discovering the suspect had left the scene.

Cristopher Evanson, 35, has been charged with going equipped for burglary, going equipped for theft and vagrancy (Nub News).

Christopher Evanson, 35, of Frank Bott Avenue, was later arrested.

He has since been charged with going equipped for burglary, going equipped for theft and vagrancy.

Evanson appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 17 January.

He was bailed to appear at the South Cheshire court on Monday 20 May.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "Christopher Evanson, 35, from Holland Street, Crewe, was charged with going equipped for burglary, going equipped for theft and vagrancy.

Cristopher Evanson was bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Monday 20 May (Nub News).

"The charges relate to an attempted burglary in Furnival Street area of Crewe.

"He appeared at Crewe Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 17 January and was bailed to appear at Crewe Magistrates' on 20 May.
