A Crewe householder has opened her garden to raise money for charity.

Jo Tilley's open garden event began on 1st August and runs every day until Saturday 14th August 2021 (12pm to 7:30pm) at her home at 1, Cheltenham Crescent, Crewe CW1 3SZ.

Admission is £4 for 90 minutes, which includes refreshments. For social distancing reasons, a maximum of 15 people will be allowed into the gardens at a time. There is also a tombola and plant sale.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Jo has hosted her open garden event. There are dozens of beautiful flowering and non-flowering plants spread across the front, side and rear of her premises.

Jo propagates many of her plants herself in her greenhouse from seed and cuttings. One part of her rear garden features seven sections based on colours of the rainbow, as during the coronavirus pandemic, the rainbow has become a symbol of support for people wanting to show solidarity with NHS workers on the front line.

Proceeds will go to Leukaemia UK, who provide innovative research and care for people affected by leukaemia and other blood cancers.

Jo said: "I hope that people enjoy my garden. I hope to raise a substantial amount for a worthy charity."

Please contact Jo on 07802836274 to book your slot.
