Crewe household waste recycling centre closes for 'essential maintenance'

Crewe's household waste and recycling centre has temporarily closed for 'essential maintenance' works, with the site set to reopen in two days time.
The Pyms Lane site is closed on Wednesday 6 December and Thursday 7 December, reopening at 8:30am on Friday 8 December.
This closure allows maintenance to take place in the run up to Christmas.
All seven of Cheshire East's household waste recycling centres will have the following hours over the festive season:
- Friday 22 December – Open as usual
- Saturday 23 December – Open 8:30am to 1pm
- Sunday 24 December – Closed
- Monday 25 December – Closed
- Tuesday 26 December – Closed
- Wednesday 27 December – Open as usual
- Thursday 28 December – Open as usual
- Friday 29 December – Open as usual
- Saturday 30 December – Open as usual
- Sunday 31 December – Closed
- Monday 1January – Closed
- Tuesday 2 January – Open as usual
A Cheshire East Council spokesperson said: "There will be a temporary site closure at Crewe due to essential maintenance on Wednesday 6 December and Thursday 7 December."
Crewe Household Waste and Recycling Centre is open 8:30am until 4pm (October to March) and 8:30am to 5pm, for the rest of the year.
