Crewe firefighters tackle serious house fire while homeowners away from property
Crewe firefighters tackled a serious house fire in South Cheshire - taking place while the homeowners were away from the property.
The incident happened at 12:51pm on Sunday (November 27) - inside a domestic property on King Place, Nantwich.
Two fire engines from Crewe quickly arrived at the scene - tackling the blaze.
Crewe firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
There was nobody inside the property when the house fire broke out.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The ground floor kitchen of a domestic property on King Street was involved in fire.
"Crews in breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to tackle the incident, and a high pressure fan to clear smoke.
"There was nobody in the property at the time."
