A popular Crewe town centre eatery has made the finals of the 2024 Golden Chopsticks Awards for 'Best Newcomer,' with the winner announced in April.

Hong's Noodle Dumpling Bar, Earle Street, has been open since October 2022 and been popular with local residents ever since.

Operated by Mr Simon Shen, the Chinese restaurant has earned a Google rating of 4.9/5 from 126 reviews.

Launched In 2018, the Golden Chopsticks Awards celebrate the best East and South East Asian cuisine across the UK.

Made up of 19 categories, members of the public were invited to vote in all of its 13 public classifications between 8 January and 26 February 2024.

For the 'Best Newcomer' 2024 award, Golden Chopsticks are celebrating restaurateurs who have made the best first impression on their diners.

This April, judges will decide whether Hong's is their favourite newcomer among the finalists.

A Hong's spokesperson told Nub News: "We are absolutely thrilled to be finalists for 'best newcomer' at this years golden chopsticks awards.

"We want to thank all of our lovely costumers from Crewe and surrounding areas for voting to make this happen.

For the 'Best Newcomer' 2024 award, Golden Chopsticks are celebrating restaurateurs who have made the best first impression on their diners (Hong's Noodle Dumpling Bar).

"Whatever happens now we're happy to have made it this far. Let's try and bring this home for Crewe."

Hong's Noodle Dumpling Bar is open from 12pm to 8:30pm (Monday to Saturday) and 1pm to 8:30pm (Sunday).
