Love is definitely in the air in both Crewe and Sandbach when it comes to cheesecakes.

For a booming cheesecake maker says she was fully booked for Valentine's Day today (Tuesday) as it seems the way to your cupid's heart is with a sweet treat.

Jenni Grist, owner of Rainbow Cheesecakes, which has a unit on Bramhall Road, Crewe and Sandbach Indoor Market, says she was "fully booked" for today.

"We've been doing heart shaped cheesecakes and also a limited edition Percy Pig cheesecake.

"They have just flown out of the door," said Jenni, who revealed the secret to her limited-edition sweet treat.

"We use tubs of Percy Pig icing to flavour it and it's gone really well. We're busier than last year for Valentine's."

And even though the Percy Pig limited edition has been popular, the top choice for cupids is Key Lime.

"That's been our best-selling cheesecake at the moment although all favours have been popular." said Jenni.

"We've also been stocking a lot of lactose intolerant products for anyone who needs them."

The 'queen' of cheesecakes started making cheesecakes for family and friends during lockdown and then someone suggested the mother-of-two went into Sandbach Market Hall.

"I took a table but then the unit came up so I took that as it's bigger. We've gone from strength to strength and have a very loyal following in Sandbach," said Jenni.

Jenni now has a shop in Bramhall Road, Crewe, where she makes her delicious cheesecakes in the kitchen.

"I just love making cheesecakes. I just don't know what it is about them.," said Jenni, who makes around 60 cheesecakes a day.

Happy Valentine's Day to all Jenni's customers in both Crewe and Sandbach.
