A Crewe care village celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla with 'modern take' party - enjoyed by its customers and families alike.
Belong Crewe, Brookhouse Drive, organised a community street party with high tea, games, and artisan gift stalls on Saturday 6 May.
Homemade decorations and the sharing of stories from past royal festivities created happy memories of days gone by for care village residents.
Entertainment for the celebration event came from Music in Mind, an interactive sound experience designed especially for those living with dementia.
Earlier in the week, Belong Crewe was joined by young friends from Gainsborough Primary and Nursery School - enjoying a cosy tea party with a pupils choir performance.
For the Coronation itself, Belong customers and colleagues waved their Union Jacks while cheering on the royals from their in-house entertainment venue.
They then enjoyed a fancy banquet inspired by British cuisine classics - accompanied by a drink or two.
More gala festivities followed - including music and dancing and a joyful atmosphere.
Experience coordinator at Belong Crewe, Jessica Butler, was delighted with the care village's Coronation celebrations.
Mrs Butler said: "Our customers have many fond memories of past royal occasions, including Queen Elizabeth II's coronation 70 years ago.
'We took lead from what they wanted to see, bringing to life their ideas for how to celebrate.
"The result was a right royal knees-up, inspired by their memories, infused with modern take - a fantastic party that will be talked about for years to come."
Last year, the not-for-profit dementia specialist was chosen to feature in the official publication of Her Majesty The Queen: The Official Platinum Jubilee Pageant Album.
The book commends outstanding individuals and organisations from across the country and the Commonwealth who have had an impact on life in the UK during the seven decades of the late Queen Elizabeth II's reign.
