Crewe car 'seized by officers' after being driven without insurance

Cheshire Police officers seized a car in the Leighton area of Crewe - after it was being driven without insurance.

The incident on Rolls Avenue happened at 9:40pm on Thursday 18 May.

Cheshire Police officers saw a black Vauxhall Astra which turned onto Rolls Avenue from Minshull New Road.

Officers pulled over the vehicle - found to be on the road without insurance.

The Vauxhall Astra was seized by police - taken away by a Hough Green Rescue truck around 10:15pm.

On Friday 19 May, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.

A spokesperson said: "At 9.40pm on Thursday 18 May, officers stopped a black Vauxhall Astra on Rolls Avenue, Crewe.

The black Vauxhall Astra was seized by police - taken away by a Hough Green Rescue truck around 10:15pm (Cheshire Police).

"The car was seized by officers after it was found to be driving without insurance."
