By Gwyn Griffiths 1st Feb 2022

OVER 100 cars, vans, trucks and motorbikes were on show at Crewe Heritage's first 'Off the Rails' car meet of 2022.

The event took place on Sunday (January 30) with outside and indoor displays including manufacturers such as Alfa Romeo, BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Mustang, Porsche, Riley, Rolls Royce, Tesla and Triumph along with a collection of Crewe-built Whitby Morrison ice cream vans.

Motorbike manufacturers on display included AJS, Harley-Davidson, Laverda, Yamaha and Vespa.

A video of the event can be viewed on the 'Krisography Studios' YouTube channel here.

The Crewe Heritage Centre site was also open to visitors including its North Junction Box signal box and all profits raised will help to support the work of the centre.

Off the rails car meets began at the Crewe Heritage Centre in November 2019.

A representative from Off the Rails said: "We would like to thank everyone for supporting our meet that has grown a lot in the past few years. Our first show of 2022 saw us have over 100 vehicles on display."
