Crewe Alexandra capture second signing in hours as free agent forward joins

Crewe Alexandra have captured their second signing in a day, after a free agent forward who played as a trialist during a number of pre-season matches, has penned a permanent deal.
Louis Moult has joined Crewe on a one-year deal just hours after The Alex secured a season-long loan for Stoke City teenage attacker, Emre Tezgel.
The 33-year-old striker, who left Scottish Championship side Dundee United this summer following the expiry his contract, also started out his career at Stoke City.
Moult, who fired in three goals in Crewe's pre-season games against Kidsgrove Athetic and Ashton United, has played for the 12 clubs, including Preston North End and Wrexham.

The six-foot forward was most prolific for Motherwell, netting 50 times in 105 matches, between 2015 and 2018.
Moult also performed well for Dundee United across the past two seasons, bagging 25 goals in 65 games, although he netted just five times campaign.
The Stoke-on-Trent born striker joins Josh March, Phil Croker, Reece Hutchinson, Sam Waller, Tommi O'Reilly and Emre Tezgel in signing up for Lee Bell's 2025/26 squad.
A Crewe Alexandra spokesperson said: "Everybody at Crewe Alexandra would like to welcome Louis and wish him luck for the season."
