Crewe Alexandra face Northampton Town in EFL League Two tomorrow - Saturday August 20 (Kevin Warburton).

Crewe Alexandra's manager says in-depth preparation is key in order to get a positive result from tomorrow's fixture - playing against 'a ramp up in quality.'

The Railwaymen host Northampton Town this Saturday (August 20) at 3pm - on the back of beating Sutton United at home on Tuesday (August 16).

Northampton are in excellent form, currently sitting in the EFL League Two automatic promotion places.

Dan Agyei was man of the match in Crewe's win over Sutton United on Tuesday - August 16 (Kevin Warburton).

Under the management of Jon Brady, The Cobblers have won three and drawn one of their first four fixtures.

Crewe Alexandra manager, Alex Morris was full of praise for tomorrow's opponents.

Morris told Crewe Alexandra's media team: "They'll be right up there, Northampton. John Brady's done a great job.

"We've been watching some more clips of them [Northampton] this morning before we came out.

"They can play a lot of through balls into runners - they're the best in the league at that.

Crewe Alexandra manager, Alex Morris and assistant manager, Lee Bell, have been praparing their side for the clash (Kevin Warburton).

"They can play some nice build-up work that gets them up the pitch into that top third before they then look to play those balls into the front three."

Crewe currently sit sixth in the division with nine points from the opening matches.

Northampton are one point better off and one of six sides still unbeaten in the league.

The Alex boss said full preparation is the only way to get a positive result from the third-placed side.

Alex Morris says his side have been analysing footage of how Northampton play (Kevin Warburton).

Morris added: "There are different ways in which they can hurt you so a lot of planning will go into today and tomorrow to ensure we're ready for that game.

"It really will be a shift up and a ramp up in quality that we're coming against compared to some of the fixtures that we've faced so far.

"We're going to have to be ready and face the challenge head on."

Last game, Dan Agyei assisted Courtney Baker-Richardson for a goal on a his home start.

Dan Aygei (Left) and Courtney Baker-Richardson (middle) have started this season in impressive form (Kevin Warburton).

The pair are Crewe's top scores so far this season - both netting on two occasions.

Crewe will be hoping to make it four league victories from five against Northampton tomorrow.
