Crewe Alexandra have announced Alex Morris as the First Team Manager and Lee Bell as the Assistant Manager - on a permanent basis.
Yesterday's announcement (April 28), comes after Morris and Bell were given the roles on an interim basis.
David Artell was sacked by Crewe Alexandra on April 11, with the club bottom of League One and already relegated to League Two.
The new management duo have taken four points from their first three games in charge.
Today (April 29), Morris told Crewe Alexandra: "I am honoured and privileged to become the new permanent manager.
"There hasn't been that many before me because of how we do things at this football club in comparison to other clubs.
"I can guarantee that both myself and the backroom staff will leave no stone unturned to bring success to the football club. That really is one of the most important things at the top of my priority list."
Under the leadership of Morris and Bell, Crewe have won 3-1 at home to AFC Wimbledon, lost 1-0 away to Sheffield Wednesday and most recently drawn 1-1 at home to Ipswich Town.
Crewe Alexandra Chairman Charles Grant told Crewe Alexandra's website: "Alex and Lee are the ideal choice for our Club and I'm delighted that they have agreed to lead the first team.
"Together, they have well over 50 years of experience in the game and know exactly what is required to deliver success for Crewe Alexandra.
"The Board and management team will be working hard to make next season a positive one for our supporters."
Morris came through Crewe Alexandra's academy at the same time as David Vaughan and Dean Ashton.
It was a succession of injuries that hampered his progress to make it as a professional.
The 38-year-old was named in the 2006 first team squad by Dario Gradi. He never managed to make a first-team appearance for the club.
Morris had to retire early from the game and he became focused on earning his coaching badges.
The new manager worked in the Academy for many years, taking the U-18s to the quarter-final of the Youth Cup in 2015, where they were beaten by Manchester City.
Bell came through the Crewe Alexandra Academy at the same time as Morris, to play in the Championship under Dario Gradi.
The 39-year-old midfielder played for Crewe across two stints making a total of 128 appearance and scoring four goals for the club.
Morris and Bell will both be making preparations for the 2022-23 season, working closely with the new recruitment and analysis team of Josh Kennard and Glyn Chamberlain
Kennard, (Head of Recruitment) and Chamberlain, (Recruitment Consultant), were appointed by Crewe Alexandra on April 22.
The new permanent management team will also be working closely with Player Development Manager Kenny Lunt, who switched from assistant manager to this new role in March.
Crewe fans can see the new permanent management team in-action tomorrow (April 30), away to Lincoln City.
The Alex travel to the LNER stadium hoping to secure an away win in the final game of the season. Kick off is at 12:30pm.
