A Cheshire drink-driver who was almost twice over the legal limit of alcohol has been banned from the road for 18 months - after appearing at Crewe court.
Frank Stoll, of Tabley Lane, Knutsford, admitted having 158 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood at Crewe Magistrates Court on Thursday 1 June.
The 51-year-old was caught over the limit whilst behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo on Lymm Road, Bowdon, on December 23, 2022.
The Knutsford man was 78 milligrammes above the legal limit - set at 80 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
Stoll was disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £120 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
The defendant also pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on the same day as the drink driving offence.
His driving licence was endorsed but no points were imposed - with no separate penalty given to him for this offence.
Stoll was offered a drink drive course, but declined, saying he will not be driving in this country anymore.
Crewe Magistrates' took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the penalties.
Stoll was given until June 29 to pay the £168 court bill.
