THE search for missing Crewe man Josef Skrdlant has been widened around town
The 51-year-old has not been seen since leaving his home near Queens Park more than a fortnight ago on Friday, February 19.
Cheshire Police enlisted specialist help from Derbyshire Cave Rescue Organisation to search culverts linked to Queens Park's lake yesterday (Sunday).
While an incident unit has been established in the car park of the Rising Sun public house on Middlewich Road in an area where there was a possible sighting of Josef.
Police say there have been several sightings, but none has been confirmed, although they believe Josef is most likely still in Crewe, although he has links to Birmingham and Bradford.
Josef is originally from the Czech Republic and speaks very little English. He is also known by his nickname Pepik, is around 5' 2" tall with a proportionate build; he has a tanned complexion and has brown eyes and black hair that is greying and receding.
Anyone with information or footage that may help officers find Josef is asked to call Cheshire Constabulary immediately on 101, quoting IML 922551.
