Casualty taken to hospital following serious fire at bungalow in Crewe

One casualty has been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation - following a serious fire at a bungalow in Crewe
The incident on Singleton Avenue, happened at 9:30am on Thursday 23 February.
One fire engine from Crewe, one from Audlem, one from Sandbach and the Ariel Ladder Platform quickly arrived at the scene.
On arrival, firefighters found the blaze had spread to the roof of the Crewe property and measured approximately 15 metres by 10 metres.
North West Ambulance Service paramedics also arrived at the scene - treating one casualty who had suffered from smoke inhalation.
All people inside the Crewe property were accounted for. The fire started from an electrical appliance.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The rear of a bungalow was on fire in Crewe, the fire had spread to the roof of the property and measured approximately 15 metres by 10 metres.
"Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"All persons were accounted for.
"The property was made safe and checks for further hotspots were carried out.
"One casualty suffered from smoke inhalation and was passed over to the care of paramedics.
"Smoke from the incident had affected the property next door.
"Following a fire investigation it is believed the fire started due to an electrical appliance."
