Boy, 14, arrested after police find 'hunting knives' in Crewe moped incident

A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of possessing offensive weapons in a public place, after police stopped a low-powered motorcycle in Crewe.
On Saturday 17 May, Cheshire Police sighted two males on a moped acting suspiciously near Alton Street.
The passenger, carrying a bag, made off from the scene and was chased to an address on Alton Street.

Police swiftly located the teenager and the bag, containing two hunting knives.
The weapons were seized, with the 14-year-old detained and taken to police custody.
He was arrested for the listed offence and has since been released on conditional bail.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 1.06pm on Saturday 17 May, police stopped a moped with a rider and a pillion passenger on Alton Street.
"The 14-year-old passenger left the scene but was quickly detained.

"The bag in his possession was found to have two hunting knives and he was arrested on suspicion of possession of offensive weapons in a public place.
"He has since been released on bail."
