Hundreds of motorcyclists are expected to join the funeral procession of Crewe man Danny Price, as the town prepares for one of its largest biker send-offs in recent years.

Danny, known to friends as 'Pricey', died on 27 May after a fatal crash on Dunwoody Way.

The 30-year-old father of four was riding a BMW motorcycle when it was involved in a crash with a red Nissan Juke following a police pursuit.

His funeral will take place at Crewe Crematorium Chapel on Thursday 9 July, at 1.45pm.

Members of the Rogue Riders and the wider biking community are planning to escort Danny on his final journey.

Riders will gather before midday before travelling together through Crewe to the crematorium.

The procession is expected to pass along Broad Street, Remer Street, Lime Tree Avenue, Middlewich Street, Vernon Way, Dunwoody Way and West Street, between around 12pm and 1pm.

Drivers have been warned to expect temporary delays as motorcycles and cars travel together through the town.

Organisers have asked the public for patience, saying they want to give Danny the send-off he deserves while keeping the biking community together for his final ride.

Danny's funeral notice describes him as a much-loved son, brother, fiancé to Kelsey and proud dad to Arlo, Ariyah and Anayah.

He was also a well-known member of the Rogue Riders biking community and a friend to many.

A memorial has been created on the grassed area near the entrance to Phoenix Leisure Park, close to where the collision happened.

Floral tributes and messages have been left there since his death.

Donations in Danny's memory can be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Leighton Hospital in lieu of flowers.
