Bank Holiday weather: late blast of summer as Crewe set to enjoy hot weekend

THE summer looks like it has returned in time for the Bank Holiday weekend.

It will be dry and fine across Cheshire and if you are sticking around in Crewe Saturday and Sunday look the best days of the weekend with sunny spells and temperatures set to reach 20C says the Met Office.

It might not be quite as warm as the south west of the country where forecasters are predicting highs of 25C, particularly areas like Dorset.

But make the most of it as by Monday it could cloud over in Crewe - but after three weekends of unsettled August weather at least the end of the month has a summery feel to it.

And the high pressure is likely to dominate into the start of September.

If you are heading for the coast to make the most of the last days of the school break then temperatures will be cooler slightly in Rhyl (18C) on Saturday but hotter further west in North Wales; for example Abersoch will be rather sunny (20C) over all three days and into next week.

If you fancy Blackpool and the Fylde coast then Sunday is best (20C) with cloud settling in for the rest of next week.
