Woman taken to hospital after air ambulance lands on Crewe Alex car park
A woman has been rushed to hospital following an incident close to Crewe Railway Station, with an air ambulance landing on Crewe Alexandra FC's car park.
On Thursday 24 August, emergency services were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a flat on Nantwich Road, close to Crewe Railway Station.
At around 2:05pm, Cheshire Police officers arrived at the scene, with an air ambulance later landing on Crewe Alex FC car park, Gresty Road.
The woman was quickly taken to Leighton Hospital for treatment via ambulance.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At around 2.05pm today, police were called to concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a flat on Nantwich Road, near to the train station in Crewe.
"Officers attended the scene and the woman was taken to Leighton for treatment in an ambulance."
An eye witness told Nub News the air ambulance was looking for a place to land close to the incident for some time.
A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson added: "We responded to a private address on Nantwich Road following a call at 2:13pm.
"A patient was taken to hospital with an air ambulance crew and response vehicle attending."
