'Aggressive' man arrested after stealing and threatening to stab staff at Crewe service station

An "aggressive'" man arrested for stealing from a Crewe service station and threatening to stab staff - has been charged for failing to attend court from a previous unrelated incident.
At 4:20pm on Friday 30 June, Cheshire Police received reports of a man stealing items and threatening staff at Gateway Service Station, Beswick Drive.
Officers arrived to find the "aggressive customer" in an agitated state.
Timothy Cope, of Beswick Drive, was arrested and taken into custody for shoplifting and threats to kill.
Officers searched the man and no weapon was found.
Further police checks showed Cope was wanted on warrant for a previous unrelated incident.
The Crewe man was charged with failing to attend court.
Cope was remanded in custody and appeared at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Saturday 1 July.
On Monday 3 July, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 4.20pm on Friday 30 June, police were called to reports of an aggressive customer at Gateway Service station.
"Police attended the scene and it was found that the suspect was wanted on warrant.
"Timothy Cope, of Beswick Drive, was charged with failing to attend court and remanded in custody to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Saturday 1 July."
