Abandoned car set on fire at Crewe park in arson attack

A Honda car was deliberately set on fire and abandoned at a park in Crewe South, with Cheshire Police appealing for information.
On Wednesday 26 March, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service were alerted to an incident at Pebblebrook Park, Balmoral Avenue.
Around 7.14am, one fire engine from Crewe arrived at scene, discovering flames coming from the front of a green Honda Jazz.
Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames, contacting Cheshire Police due to the suspicious nature of the incident, who then attended.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson told Nub News: "At 7.14am on Wednesday 26 March, police were called to Balmoral Avenue in Crewe following reports of a car in a field.
"The car, a green Honda Jazz, was on fire and firefighters were called to the scene. The fire appears to have been deliberate.
"Officers are making enquiries into the circumstances. Anyone with information can contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 2055680.
"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
