A-road closes after vehicle crashes into roadside infrastructure in Crewe

Emergency services were called after a car crashed into roadside infrastructure in Crewe, leaving a major town A-road closed.
On Sunday 14 December, emergency services were alerted to an incident on the A500/Meremoor Moss Roundabout in Weston.
Around 12.10pm, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Cheshire Police and North West Ambulance Service arrived at the scene, discovering a vehicle had had come off-road and crashed.
The driver of the crashed vehicle was rescued, with them not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.

The A500 was closed between Meremoor Moss Roundabout and Shavington Roundabout until the vehicle was cleared.
Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Emergency services were at the scene of a road traffic collision at the A500/A531 roundabout in Weston, Crewe.
"The incident involved one car, which is believed to have collided with roadside infrastructure.
"The A500 was closed between Weston Roundabout (towards Nantwich) and Shavington Roundabout. Fire crews are making the scene safe.
"The occupant of the vehicle was out before firefighters arrived and is not believed to have suffered any serious injuries.
"Shortly before 12:25pm, fire crews made up equipment and left the incident with the police.
"A temporary road closure was in place until the vehicle was recovered."
