18-year-old 'local man' arrested after crashing car into Crewe garden wall
An 18-year-old 'local man' has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving - after crashing his car into a garden wall in Crewe.
The incident on Crewe Road, Wistaston, close to the junction with Church Lane, happened at 4:17am on Monday 10 April.
Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene - finding a black Ford Fiesta had collided with a garden wall.
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old 'local man,' was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
Following his arrest, the man was taken to Leighton Hospital by paramedics with minor injuries.
On Tuesday 11 April, Cheshire Police confirmed the incident to Nub News.
A spokesperson said: "At 4.17am on Monday 10 April police were called to reports of a one vehicle collision on Crewe Road, Wistaston.
"The collision involved a black Ford Fiesta which had collided with a garden wall.
"The driver of the car, an 18-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
"He has since been released pending further enquiries.
"Following his arrest the man was taken to Leighton Hospital.
"His injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
