TWO people were taken to hospital after a collision between two cars in Oakhanger last night (Tuesday).

Firefighters released one casualty who was trapped in their car at the scene, near to the junction of Butterton Lane and Barthomley Road between Crewe and Alsager.

The collision involved a black Honda Jazz and a silver Mini Cooper and two fire crews from Crewe were called out at 6.12pm.

Cheshire Police said that a 41-year-old woman received injuries and was taken to the Royal Stoke Hospital for treatment.

A 30-year-old man was also taken to Leighton Hospital as a precautionary measure.
