DEWI Lewis struck a hat-trick as Leighton FC enjoyed their third consecutive win in the CREWE REGIONAL SUNDAY LEAGUE.

The newcomers came from two down early in the game to beat previously beaten Winsford Over 5-4 and move second in the Division One table. Leighton's other goals came from Jake Foster and a Jordan Bickerton penalty.

The Winsford Over goals were scored by Tom Stanton, Matthew Stanton, Jamie Dawson and Jamie Ri.

Another unbeaten side tasting defeat for the first time were Princes Feathers, who went down 2-0 at C & N Utd, whose goalscorers were Jack Cope and Mark Tinsley.

Nantwich Pirates earned their first victory of the season, a 7-1 thumping of bottom club JS Bailey.

Wayne Garnett netted a hat-trick and father and son Andy and Mike Truan were also on the sheet along with Anthony Broadhurst and Declan Scott. Ramirez Machado netted for the hosts.

In the only Premier Division fixture, Willaston White Star thrashed Raven Salvador 8-1 with Pawel Abramovich and Lukasz Synowicz both scoring hat-tricks.

Keilhan Annikey and Gary Cardno also netted, while Matthew Hole scored for the visitors.

Most Crewe Regional League clubs were engaged in cup action with six games played in the first round of the Crewe FA Sunday Cup.

Audlem must have had hopes of a giant-killing when they took the lead against George and Dragon after only five minutes through a Dan Rooney penalty.

However, the visitors quickly equalised and went on to win 4-2 thanks to goals from Robbie Hatton (2), Joe Duckworth and Scott Taylor. Will Cork scored the other Audlem goal.

Broadhurst FC beat The Lions 4-1 with goals from Dom Johnson (2) and Brad West (2). Russell Schofield scored for The Lions.

Cooper Buckley and Sandbach Town met in cup action at Barony Park for the second time in three weeks.

Cooper Buckley again triumphed, winning 5-2, although Sandbach Town led 0-2 at one time. Ashley Edwards, Brad Stockton, Niall Cope, Rylan Bell and Josh Rowley netted for Cooper Buckley.

Faddiley have had player availability issues this season, but they enjoyed an excellent win 2-1 against Crewe Athletic. Nathan Cherrington gave the home side a 1-0 interval lead, but Ed Hilditch equalised.

The game seemed to be heading towards penalty kicks, but Tom Bate got a late winner for Faddiley.

Winnington SC won 1-0 at NHB thanks to a goal from Jack Duffy.

Cheshire Cheese have had a quiet start to the season, but they found some form against Talbot running up an 8-2 scoreline.

Liam Whittaker and Danny Jones scored for Talbot, with the Cheese goals coming from Aaron Davies (2), David Sirle (2), Rob King, Rob Prince (penalty) Jake Barrow and Dean Twigg.

The one remaining tie in the first round of the Crewe FA Vase took place, with White Horse being beaten 4-2 by Vale Hoppers. Jake Harding and Tom Royle scored for White Horse.

Betley were engaged in a first round tie in the Staffs FA Sunday Cup, and ventured to Fenton in The Potteries, where they secured a comfortable 6-1 win over Plaza First despite playing part of the game with 10 men after a sending off.

Keiron Duckers claimed a hat-trick and Jamie Baker, Simon Roberts and Zac Saardouni also scored.

In the CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE Rhys Holt netted twice as Crewe Town edged Sandbach Town 4-3 to move up to second in the table. Will Pirrie and Danial Lacey were also on the mark for Town while Brandon Howman, Adam Socha and Jay Wild were the Sadnbach scorers.

Crewe Wanderers and Mary Dendy 1982 drew 1-1.

In the CREWE AND DISTRICT CUP Sandbach Town Ramblers and Sandbach Curshaws couldn't be split after 90 minutes with the game finishing 2-2. But it was the Ramblers who went through as they won the penalty shoot-out by a 3-2 margin.

Meanwhile, two other C&D teams suffered heavy defeats at the hands of Cheshire League outfits. FC Bollington were thrashed (0-5) at Cheshire League outfit Holmes Chapel and Nantwich Town Reserves were too strong (0-7) for Mary Dendy.
