CREWE face a trip to Hull City in the knock-out stages of the Papa John's Trophy.

The second round draw was made at Birmingham City tonight ahead of Birmingham City's televised Sky clash with Coventry.

It will be the Alex's second meeting of the season with the Tigers, having lost (0-1) their League One clash on Humberside in September.

The tie will be played in the week beginning December 7.

Crewe made their way into the latter rounds of the newly-named tournament after beating Bolton and Newcastle under-21s before losing to Shrewsbury to finish second in their group.

The Alex won the tournament in 2013 - when it was known as the Johnstone's Paints Trophy - beating Southend 2-0 at Wembley.
