World EV Day: Great News for EV Shoppers in Crewe - World EV Day aims to encourage and support the transition to electric vehicles, so why not grab a Volkswagen with a £1,500 Grant!

World EV Day is on Tuesday 9th September and there's some exciting news for Crewe drivers considering making the electric switch with Volkswagen.

The Government EV Grant

The UK government has launched a £650 million Electric Car Grant scheme, offering discounts from £1,500 up to £3,750 on new electric cars priced at £37,000 or under, depending on how sustainably they're produced.

Most EVs including many from Crewe Volkswagen will qualify for the standard £1,500 grant, where the discount will be automatically taken off the price at the point of sale for qualifying vehicles.

Crewe Volkswagen EV Grant Guarantee

Volkswagen is also offering a £1,500 'Grant Guarantee' on ID.3 models, and also on selected ID.4 models. If the government grant isn't applied for a particular reason, Volkswagen will still match that £1,500 saving on these selected models.
