YMCA Cheshire provides supported accommodation and a range of community services for individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. Our work is person-centred, trauma-informed, and focused on empowering individuals to build independence and achieve long-term stability.
The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Housing Coach to provide high-quality, intensive support to individuals living in Housing-Led placements across Cheshire East.
This role involves working with individuals facing multiple and complex needs, including mental health challenges and substance misuse, supporting them to sustain their tenancies and move towards independent living.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred, trauma-informed support tailored to each individual
- Develop and review support plans, helping individuals achieve personal goals- Provide practical support with budgeting, benefits, tenancy sustainment, and daily living skills
- Support individuals to access health services, education, training, and employment opportunities- Build positive relationships with external agencies including health, housing, and support services
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to monitoring and reporting requirements- Promote independence, wellbeing, and social inclusion
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Believes in the potential of every individual- Has experience working with vulnerable individuals, particularly within homelessness or support services
- Is confident using a person-centred and trauma-informed approach- Can build strong, trusting relationships and communicate effectively
- Is resilient, proactive, and able to manage a varied caseload- Has strong organisational and administrative skills
