KPI Recruiting are currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our client's Light Civils and Groundworks team on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and skilled individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 07:45 - 17:30

Pay Rate: From £15.50 per hour

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a solid background in groundworks and civil engineering tasks. The ideal candidate will also be confident operating excavators under 10 tonnes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Laying concrete and bitumen surfaces to a high standard
  • Installing underground drainage systems
  • Completing dropped kerb installations to specification
  • Carrying out general ground excavation tasks
  • Performing light landscaping duties where required

Key Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices on construction sites
  • A full UK driving licence with access to own transport
  • A valid CSCS card

Desirable Certifications:

  • NRSWA (Street Works) certification
  • Excavator ticket
  • Trailer licence

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in groundworks
  • At least 3 years operating excavators (under 10 tonnes)
  • Proven 4 years of light civils experience

PPE Requirements:

  • Safety boots are required
  • All other PPE will be provided on-site
