A natural sports nutrition company has launched a brand-new product after a successful crowdfunding campaign. Protein Rebel, based in Crewe have launched Maple Ignite, a maple syrup and sea salt energy gel which is designed to boost endurance during exercise including running and cycling.
Protein Rebel was founded in 2020 with the aim of providing a range of natural sports nutrition products, with the added benefit of being the most planet-friendly sports nutrition brand on the planet.
The new product came to life after the Kickstarter campaign that saw 85 people from across the globe invest in the concept. Founder of Protein Rebel, Tim Boote said "maple syrup is nature's performance fuel. It's high in sucrose which provides a balanced and prolonged energy source whilst being very gentle on the gut."
And it is this natural performance boost which encouraged Tim to work with it for their new product. He said "Many people struggle to digest fructose and maltodextrin-based gels which end up sitting in the gut, causing gastrointestinal upset, accelerating dehydration, and not providing the vital energy needed. By replacing chemicals with all-natural Maple Ignite, the stomach is at very low risk of distress, and you can be confident of getting the energy boost you need when your body most needs it."
The company has plans to expand the range by bringing a new product to market by the end of the year and have enjoyed great growth selling online directly alongside stocking their products in multiple independent stockists across the country.
The gels cost £1.99 each from www.proteinrebel.com with multibuy discounts available.
