Sylvia, aged 87 years, a former resident of Wrenbury passed away peacefully in the care of staff at St Catherine's Nursing Home in Nantwich.
Several years ago Sylvia wrote out her final wishes which were that she wanted no funeral service, just a simple cremation.
A direct cremation took place at which Mr Steven Linde said the words of committal in accordance with Sylvia's wishes, after which her ashes were placed in the Gardens of Remembrance at Crewe Cemetery.
