Underwater team revisit Queens Park in search for missing man as Czech language appeal released

POLICE searching for missing Crewe man Josef Skrdlant have issued an appeal in his native tongue.

Josef has not been seen since he left his home near Queens Park on foot on the morning of Friday, February 19.

The 51-year-old is originally from the Czech Republic and Cheshire Police have now released an appeal in the Czech language in the hope that it brings someone forward locally who may have information about his whereabouts.

Officers have also revealed Josef has links with the Bradford area as well as Birmingham, from where he recently moved back to Crewe from.

Police have confirmed the North West underwater marine unit returned to Queens Park this morning (Wednesday) to search the waters of the lake. The water course was also a focus of attention in the investigation last Friday.

Today officers extended their search to the fairway and undergrowth at the adjacent Queens Park Golf Course.

Josef is around 5ft 2 tall, of a proportionate build with a tanned complexion. He has brown eyes and black receding hair that is greying, while he was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and blue shoes.

Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage is asked to get in touch with police by ringing 101, quoting IML 922551.

Josef Skrdlant nebyl vidn od doby, kdy v pibližn 10 hodin ráno v pátek 19. února odešel pšky ze svého domova v oblasti Queens Park v Crewe.

Má 51 let a je okolo 157 cm vysoký s pimenou postavou.

Je bílý s opálenou pletí a má hndé oÄi a Äerné prošedivlé vlasy, které se ztrácejí.

Když byl Josef naposledy spaten, tak ml na sob Äernou bundu, modré rifle a modré boty.

Je pvodem z eské republiky a mluví velmi málo anglicky.

Josef se nedávno vrátil do Crewe z Birminghamu.

Policie z hrabství Cheshire žádá kohokoli, kdo ho uvidí nebo má informace o jeho míst pobytu, aby se pihlásil.

Inspektor Dave Levins z místní policejní jednotky v Crewe ekl: "Toto je poprvé, kdy byl Josef Skrdlant nahlášen policii jako pohešovaný.

"Nkolik policist jej hledá, ale zatím marn, a zaÄínáme se stále více obávat o jeho bezpeÄí.

"Žije v Crewe, ale ped nedávnem žil v Birminghamu.

"Žádám kohokoli z tchto nebo jiných oblastí, kdo si myslí, že mohl Josefa od doby, kdy se ztratil, vidt, aby se s námi spojil.

"Totéž platí pro kohokoli, kdo má jakékoli informace o jeho míst pobytu nebo záznamy z kamerového systému nebo autokamery, na kterých by se vyskytoval poté, co se v pátek ráno 19. února ztratil."

Kdokoliv s informacemi nebo záznamy, které mohou policistm pomoci Josefa nalézt, a okamžit zavolá na policii v hrabství Cheshire na Äíslo 101 a uvede IML 922551.
