Organisers reveal what's on tap at this week's Crewe Real Ale Festival

REAL ale lovers have released the beer and cider list for this year's Crewe Rail Ale Festival.

CRAF opens its doors on Friday (October 8) at Crewe Heritage Centre off Vernon Way and the South Cheshire branch of the Campaign for Real Alex have revealed some of the varied delights that will be available on the taps to tempt drinkers.

There will be 50 plus cask ales, including local beers like Beartown Congleton's Bluebeary and Polar Eclipse; Merlin Arclid's Castle Black, Mythic IPA and the Wizard; and Tom's Tap Purple Rain.

There will also be a fine selection of ciders and perrys.

South Cheshire CAMRA says any significant changes to the lists will be updated on its website.

The festival runs across the weekend until Sunday (October 10) in its 8th year.

Opening times are:

Friday 12 midday to 11pm

Saturday 12 to 9pm

Sunday 12 to 3pm.
