SYDNEY Arms and Nantwich Pirates lead the way at the top of the CREWE REGIONAL SUNDAY LEAGUE's end-of-season dust-up in Division One Group A.

Sydney Arms are top on goal difference after a thumping 5-1 win at C&N Utd with goals from Aaron Davies, Alex Forrester and a hat-trick from Ben Reddock.

The Pirates were held to a 2-2 draw by the same opponents, having to come from two down after C&N's Jordan Prince rifled in a 35-yard special in the midweek fixture.

Keiron Jones pulled a goal back and club manager Andy Truan scored the Pirates' equaliser with an acrobatic overhead kick.

Pirates then edged Princes Feathers 3-2, thanks to goals from Anthony Broadhurst, Brandon Broadhurst and Jones, again on Sunday. Daniel Larkin and Jamie Cain scored for the home side.

In Division One, Group B, White Horse were beaten by JS Bailey, for whom Greg Bailey and Liam Whittaker netted. Ryan Briddon scored for White Horse.

But the game at Wheelock between Sandbach Town and Broadhurst was abandoned after 60 minutes due to a serious injury to a Broadhurst player. Leaders Broadhurst were leading 4-2 at the time.

In the CREWE AND DISTRICT LEAGUE already-crowned champions Sandbach Curshaws completed their season with 100 per cent record. Their 3-1 win over Mary Dendy 3-1 made it 15 wins from 15 games as goals from Sam Critchley (2) and Ryan Simmons saw off their hosts. Tom Wakefield replied for Dendy.

Crewe Town Reserves were undone by Elworth Park Rangers who won 5-3 with goals from James Mason (2), Richard Merril, Matt Powell and Connor Twentyman.

Sandbach Town were blown away by a Crewe Town Jaguars side chasing second spot. Crewe led 5-1 at the break and ran out 6-2 winners with Josh Cooke netting a hat-trick and Ryan Tomkinson a brace while Rhys Holt was also on the scoresheet.

Sandbach's consolation goals came from Brandon Howman and Adam Socha.

Runners-up spot can only be taken away from the Jaguars if Mary Dendy win by two or more goals when both sides square up for the season finale on Saturday.

Jake Maunder was on the mark as Crewe FC drew 1-1 at Daten in the CHESHIRE LEAGUE'S post-lockdown competition, the J.B Parker Cup.
